MOONSHINE’S 3RD ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFF

|
IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!
|
It’s culinary school vs. momma’s recipe. Beef vs. wild game. Vegetarian vs. meat lovers…and chili is the muse! Join Moonshine Brewing Company’s executive chef Matt Wilde along with several other chili-lovin’ Chicago cooks for another crazy cook-off mêlée and tailgate party, Sunday, November 20th from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm in a tented Moonshine parking lot (1824 W Division). In the tradition of Moonshine’s uber-popular “Rib-a-Que Smokeout,” the 3rd annual “Warm Up & Bear Down Chili Cook-Off” features at least 15 pro and amateurs competing for the Gilded Ladle award and a bowl full of hard cash – as voted on by the public.
$5 admission with a warm coat donation or $10 admission with no coat donation grants tailgaters access to the Chili Cook-Off and an opportunity to eat all the chili a tummy can handle.

The Warm Up & Bear Down bash features Bears football on high def big screens, rabid fans, and a plethora of the tastiest chili this side of the Mississippi!
To help extinguish that blistering chili heat, Moonshine’s resident brew master JD McCormick will be serving up his famous handcrafted brews: Able Danger (IPA), Prince Albert (Belgian Grand Cru), White Lightning (Belgian White Ale), Fallout (Porter), Moonlight (Blonde Ale) and RYEteous Path (Rye Pale Ale) –for just $5 per pint or $20 per 64-ounce growler (to go).
YOUR VOTE COUNTS! Invite your friends to offer friendly weighting to the audience vote! First prize wins $500 cash and the rights to the Gilded Ladle, second prize gets $250 cash, and third prize gets $100 cash.
