2009 RIB-A-QUE WINNERS
This year’s Rib-a-Que showdown was one for the books. Aromas of kippered pork ribs wafted through the crisp autumn-like air as sixteen different vendors from throughout the Chicagoland area competed for bragging rights and the coveted GILDED GRILL trophy for the second annual competition.
People traveled in droves and filled their bellies with all sorts of delcious, finger licking good bbq ribs. People couldn’t seem to get enough!
Finally, as the Moonshine Microbrews had washed down the last of the ribs and everyone had cast their votes . . . winners had been chosen. Needless to say, it was a difficult task deciding who this year’s winner would be – everyone’s ribs were terrific at worst.
But the people spoke and the judges, they judged:
PEOPLE’S AWARD – SOIGNE CULINARY for their bacon wrapped and honey mustard glazed boneless creation.
GILDED GRILL TROPHY – Holy Crap! Two years in a row! Pilsen’s Honky Tonk BBQ took the award for their championship bbq!
